Bayvantic Vet. Flea remedy for dogs between 25-40 kg, 4x4.0ml (UDSOLGT)

Bayvantic® Vet. spot-on, solution for dogs (1 ml contains 100 mg imidacloprid and 500 mg permethrin). Indication: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalides canis) on dogs. Fleas on dogs die within 1 day after treatment. One treatment prevents further flea infestations for 4 weeks. The preparation can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea-induced allergic dermatitis. For the treatment of fur lice (Trichodectes canis). The preparation has a persistent acaricidal and repellent effect against tick attacks. This persists for 4 weeks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus) or 3 weeks (Dermacentor reticulatus) respectively. Ticks already on the dog will not be killed for sure within 2 days of treatment, but may remain on the dog. It is recommended to remove these ticks before treatment to prevent them from attaching and sucking blood. A treatment has a repellent ("anti-bloodsucking") effect on sandflies for 2 weeks (Phlebotomus papatasi) or 3 weeks (Phlebotomus perniciosus), respectively, on mosquitoes for 2 weeks (Aedes aegypti) and 4 weeks (Culex pipiens) and on common blowflies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 4 weeks. Method of administration: For use on the skin only. Dosage dog: 1.5-4 kg: 1 pipette of 0.4 ml; 4-10 kg: 1 pipette of 1.0 ml; 10-25 kg: 1 pipette of 2.5 ml; 25-40 kg: 1 pipette of 4.0 ml. For dogs over 40 kg, an appropriate combination of pipettes is used. Contraindications: Do not use in cats. Puppies under 7 weeks should not be treated. Should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or one or more of the excipients. Side effects: In very rare cases, transient skin reactions (such as increased local itching, scratching and rubbing, alopecia (hair loss), and redness at the application site) and lethargy can be seen in dogs. The symptoms usually disappear on their own. In very rare cases, dogs may show behavioral changes (restlessness, wheezing or rolling), gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting, diarrhoea, increased salivation, or decreased appetite) and neurological reactions such as unsteady movements and barking if the dog is sensitive to permethrin. These symptoms are usually transient and require no treatment. Pregnancy and lactation: Can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Precautions: Avoid the contents of the pipette coming into contact with the dog's eyes or mouth. Do not allow recently treated animals to lick each other. Under no circumstances allow treated dogs to have access to any surface water for at least 48 hours after application, as the preparation is harmful to aquatic organisms. Special precautions for the person administering the preparation: Avoid skin, eyes and mouth coming into contact with the preparation. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. Wash hands thoroughly after use. If the preparation is spilled on the skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water. People with known skin hypersensitivity may be particularly sensitive to this preparation. The most frequent clinical symptoms, which may occur in very rare cases, are temporary sensory reactions in the skin such as tingling, burning or numbness. If the preparation accidentally gets into the eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention immediately and show the package leaflet to the doctor if skin and eye irritation persists or if the preparation is accidentally swallowed. Treated animals should be handled with care until the application site is dry (applies especially to children). This can e.g. is ensured by treating the animals in the evening. Recently treated animals should NOT be allowed to sleep with their owners/household children. Other information: The solvent in Bayvantic® Vet. may cause stains on certain materials such as plastics, leather, textiles and treated surfaces.
